John Bakker, A Dutch entrepreneur, has worked to develop the unique PALV(Personal Air and Land Vehicle), an unusual single-occupancy vehicle which drives like an enclosed motorcycle on the ground and like auto gyro in the air. This allows it to leap into the air on short notice, and cruise around at altitudes below the level of commercial air traffic (4,000 feet). It runs on petrol like a conventional car and can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h both on land and in the air. Read more at PAL-V

Paul Moller is a maker of what we could call unusual vehicles. For decades people have been dreaming of the day that flying machine would replace car, and be affordable for everybody. Moller came up with this unique idea of the M400 skycar. “From your garage to your destination, the M400 Skycar can cruise comfortably at 275 MPH (maximum speed of 375 MPH) and achieve up to 20 miles per gallon on clean burning, ethanol fuel.” That’s what I call a green car!
